Dr. Parmjit Singh Walia’s love with dermatology started in 1998 when he joined the AIDS awareness group in Amritsar. He had the responsibility to look after truck drivers, advice them about HIV-AIDS and sexually transmitted disease. It was a wonderful experience which gave a lot of satisfaction taking care of the underprivileged section of society. That led Dr.Walia to join Skin and Venereology department in Government Medical College, Amritsar as a junior resident to pursue this interest further. In the department of dermatology for 3 years, Dr. Walia developed a keen interest in treating STD, vitiligo surgery and aesthetic medicine. In 2002, after completing Junior Residency, he started practicing in Mohali in basic dermatology and STD which he continues to do till date. During his journey in the last 15 years in private practice, he attended many international trainings and added lasers, anti-ageing treatment and hair transplant.
